Hazardous Waste Plant Oil Sludge Upgrade

The oil sludge received by hazardous waste plants comes from mixed sources with widely varying composition; sending it straight to thermal desorption or incineration means high energy use and high disposal cost. Ruituxiang's approach is to put "chemical separation" at the very front: recover the oil first and push down the sludge's oil content, then let the reduced material enter downstream disposal.

Application Challenges

Why hazardous waste plant sludge is hard to treat

Challenge 1

Mixed sources, widely varying composition

Inbound sludge is a mixture of tank-bottom sludge, gathering-line spilled sludge and outsourced sludge; composition varies from batch to batch, making treatment parameters hard to fix.

Challenge 2

Straight to the back end: high energy and cost

High-oil material entering thermal desorption or incineration directly means high energy and disposal costs, and the oil is "burned off" along with the rest as well.

Core Logic

Chemical separation up front, lower downstream load

First use C50N3 demulsification separation to recover the oil and push down the sludge's oil content, then let the reduced material enter downstream disposal — at the same treatment scale, the downstream load is lower, and the recovered oil creates value as well.

Front end

C50N3 chemical separation

Demulsification separation completes oil-phase recovery and lowers the sludge's oil content, reducing the material — the downstream units receive a "lighter" feed.

Back end

Thermal desorption / incineration

The reduced material enters the downstream disposal steps; at the same treatment scale the load is lower and the system runs under less pressure.
